Possibly may get to visit Washington DC in Sept or October for a few days. What are some great places to visit besides the obvious (definitely will see some of the Smithsonian etc.) ?
I especiallly like zoos, aquariums & art galleries aimed at adults. (My nieces will be in school) so not worried about kid activities this trip.
Any budget friendly restaurants (plus one nice upscale restaurant( you recommend would be great as well.
Internet is great but nothing beats 1st hand recommendations from ppl with similar interests.
