pinkish fleshy knob on CBB mouth

Hey everyone! I just received a CBB from Saltwaterfish.com and he has a weird mark on his mouth. Not sure if this is concerning or a problem but I’ve never seen it so I’m turning to you guys. Looks healthy, swimming around in the bag otherwise! Can get a better picture if needed once in QT (currently in acclimation)

Any damage /injury etc to the mouth is not good for any fish but even worse for CBB with the narrow beak like mouth. Have you seen it eat. I've seen CBB come in to the lfs with beak injuries and they typically don't make it because they don't eat. Let's see what the #medic have to say

EDIT : Reread and saw it's still in the bag. I would acclimate however the vendor recommends and get it out of the bag. I would also reach out to the vendor expressing your concerns.

Looks like damage from netting and a skin tag which will heal on its own

You could try to remove it - however - its likely to fall off - I would not worry about it at all

Gotcha! Just worried about getting him to eat- have live black worms, and some clams on hand
