More encrusting. Starting to see some small nubs that look like they want to branch out. I expect it to continue encrusting this coming month and hopefully in April I begin to see some good branching growth

February Entry:

I did something wrong this month and I'm not getting the PE like before. I speculating it's because of the bad phytoplankton from a delayed shipment. I skipped a few days without feeding phytoplankton as I was out, then dosed the bad phyto for a few days before I received my reorder.

Since then I've seen the polyps retracted for all my SPS except montipora and LPS. I did a large water change about 4 days ago. Haven't had the chance to do parameter checks but didn't want to jump to solution-ing and let the tank do it's thing instead.

Aside from that there's been great growth vertically, or start of it. Encrusting has slowed, more color intensity, and it's grown 4x new sprouts plus the original stick is growing vertical.

I also put a makeshift single-person-measurement tool together with skewers, glue, and baking soda.i hope this will give me consistent measurements as the piece begins to grow more.

Ha! That is awesome. I’m stumped what’s the baking soda for?

I saw it on a YouTube video once. It helps cure it faster by allowing to glue to bind to it. Kind of like the dust you get from dry rock. Otherwise I'd be waiting a long time for it to cure.
ahh cool. I had no idea! learned something new today:). what kind of glue?

I think you should start measuring from the bottom of the encrusting. Growth is growth :).

Sorry for the horrible photo this time... Didn't see how blurry it was until I had put the coral back in its spot, so this is what we're left with:

Picture doesn't show color well, but looks amazing day and night!

Definitely not winning, but not dead. Been struggling with low PH recently. Never been an issue before, but has been hovering around 7.7-7.9. Only time it's above 8,is after a water change.
Some of my acros don't seem to care much. Unfortunately, RDOR has browned out and basically gone dormant.
