I'm looking to upgrade my 25 gal and 10 gal into either a 120, 125 or a 180 gal tank.

Currently I have
2 clowns
1 royal gramma
1 PJ cardinal

I would rather not have these guys in a 120+ gal tank but I will move them in and likely make the 25 a quarantine or frag tank.

In a 120/125 I'm looking at 10-12 fish (depending on size of fish)
In a 180 I'm looking at 15-20 fish (depending on size of fish)

So these are the options in 2 categories wrasses and wildcards. I want this to be a wrasse heavy tank so at most 1-3 wildcards depending on tank size. Although some come in trios such as anthias and others. Everything is listed in likability, best to worst (prices, aggression, availability and other factors are in play)

Wrasse List (I know some are incompatible with each other so some would be cut off the list for others) (Also I originally had a list of 50 wrasses but narrowed it down)

Earmuff Wrasse ( H. melasmapomus )
Blue-Striped Tamarin Wrasse ( A. femininus )
Orange-Backed Fairy Wrasse ( C. aurantidorsalis )
Exquisite Fairy Wrasse ( C. exquisitus )
Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse ( P. carpenteri )
Canary Wrasse ( H. chrysus )
Pink Margin Fairy Wrasse ( C. rubrimarginatus )
Lineatus Fairy Wrasse ( C. lineatus )
Pink Streaked Wrasse ( P. ataenia )
McCosker's Flasher Wrasse ( P. mccoskeri )
Yellow-Tail Tamarin ( A. meleagrides )
Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse ( C. lubbocki )
Leopard Wrasse ( M. meleagris )
Blue-Sided Fairy Wrasse ( C. cyanopleura )
Ornate Leopard Wrasse ( M. ornatus )
Pintail Fairy Wrasse ( C. isosceles )
Filamented Flasher Wrasse ( P. filamentosus )
Golden Rhomboid Fairy Wrasse ( C. rhomboidalis )

Wildcards (Any fish that aren't wrasses, I believe all are reef safe aside from the dwarf angels, also I'm not sure about having tangs, although naso tang would be a lock if it didn't need so much space.

Midas Blenny
Blue Throat Triggerfish
Yellow Pyramid Butteflyfish
Yellow Eye Kole Tang
Yellow Tang
Potter's Dwarf Angelfish
Mandarin Dragonet
Coral Beauty Dwarf Angelfish
Longnose Butterflyfish
Firefish
Flame Hawkfish
Lemonpeel Dwarf Angelfish
One Spot Foxface
Black Nox Dwarf Angelfish
Sailfin Tang
Sunburst Anthias
Marine Betta
Cherub Dwarf Angel
PJ Cardinals (already have 1 would add 2 more)
Purple Firefish
Mimic Lemonpeel Tang
Blue Tang
Powder Blue Tang
Powder Brown Tang
Achilles Tang (love this guy although expensive and difficult)
Bicolor Dwarf Angelfish
Flame Dwarf Angelfish
Dispar Anthias

Other fish I would love to have but don't think will work:

Triggers (specifically Humu Humu Triggerfish)
Lionfish (specifically Radiata Lionfish)

The ideal 120/125 tank would have:

My four fish from prior tank (Clowns, PJ Cardinal, Royal Gramma)
4-6 Wrasses
1-3 Wildcards

The ideal 180 tank would have:

My four fish from prior tank (Clowns, PJ Cardinal, Royal Gramma)
9-11 Wrasses
3-5 Wildcards

So tell me your thoughts on what fish I should pick!!

I’ll go with wrasse dominated tank plus maybe a Tomini tang as a grazer and your current stock. I can’t comment on which wrasse but there is a wrasse compatibility chart somewhere here you can check if what have you listed above will co-exist peacefully.

Yes I have seen the wrasse charts and have read through evolved's wrasse threads to better understand wrasse chemistry, I'm just curious what some peoples favorite wrasses are or wrasses people would want, I like that tang though!

Currently this are the wrasses I have in my 120gal: yellow corris, exquisite, six line, blue head fairy, filamented flasher and cleaner. If I am going to add more I am looking at tamarin, black backed and maybe golden rhomboid.

The 120/125 to 180 tank makes a big difference.

Mixing Anampses species in a 120/125 could be dodgy. Chances are better in a 180, but tread cautiously.

I wouldn't mix lineatus and rubrimarginatus in a 120/125. A 180 might be big enough, but still a bit scary.

Also, lineatus and rhomboidalis may squabble in a 120/125, but should be fine in a 180.

Yep a 180 would allow a lot more space, also I would just be picking 1 of the lineatus, rubrimarginatus or rhomboidalis, preferably I would be getting the rubrimarginatus. I would like 2 anampses but wouldn't want to risk it I would try and get the blue-stripe and if not available I would get a red or yellow tail tamarin

I just did a little chart to show what I'm thinking for wrasses, I may not pick from some categories for example not sure about the C. punctatus or some others but just wanted to have many options.

Also let me know about clarification for names.
