i heard somewhere where a dude plumbed his skimmer drain to his wifes flower bed or something like that and that the flowers grew like crazy. I am not to sure how much truth their is in this but i guess it makes sense as it is poop and that is a fertilized who knows maybe we can start bottling our skimmate and selling it ha ha ha that would be a trip

But wouldn't the salt from the water be too much for the plants?
I would think that it would kill the plants not help the growth.

i've actually did the experiment where you get a cup of your tank water test PH in the house, then sit the cup outside and retest. you would be surprised how much the ph jumps up

we had a water chemistry with the local club i belong to and the guy running it took a cup of water and did the test and then he stuck a straw in it and you actually saw the change process as he breathed into the straw pushed carbon dioxide into the water it began to change color it was really interesting i enjoyed it.
