I put it in a bucket and mixed tank water and peroxide and it did the job...but you might lose some invert life like bristle worms and copepods..ive also poured it on the bad spots and shook it in the bucket of tank water but you will have to repeat it if it diddnt work the first time

Yes it did...but you should find out y you have hair/bubble algae growing it might come back...mine was in my bio cube and it was lack on maintenance on my part due to me having multiple tanks...so I did a big water change and soaked the rocks in a bucket with the mix and it never came back...on bad areas I poured it directly then soaked it...it's pretty crazy it pretty much melts off

I have no hair algae. No diatom bloom. No cyno. But tons of bubble algae. Expanding by the day
All over the rock work

Run phosguard and carbon in reactors
Have no fish so don't feed
Use RODI water. Can't take this bubble algae

I haven't had to scrape by glass of algea in months but for some reason the bubble algae won't die off

How much peroxide do you use in the bucket of water and how long do you soak

For example is it a cup of peroxide per 2 gallons of water. Etc etc.
But I could just pull the rock and just use a water gun to spray it on directly.

Sorry to hijack the the thread. I can start my own thread if needed

Oh and use LEDs so it isn't old t5 or halide bulbs losing spectum

It's 1ml for every 10 gallons of aquarium water. But I've heard of this being done in a DT with a very good success rate.

But if it's just bubble algae, try taking a syringe tip (plastic ones for apitasia) stick it on an air line and start syphoning them out by sucking it from middle than the skin, you don't want the pores to escape or you'll just make things worse. Good luck
