Blue/Gold Torch one of the best coral grabs

I picked up some very nice zoanthids, waiting for those to fully open up for great pics.
Also added 2 orange shoulder tangs and a electric dottyback

Since I added tangs to the tank I’m looking to pull Alk down towards the 8-9Kh

Setting up a live brine shrimp tank today. A mixture of live foods and frozen. See if I can beef up this tank in 3 months time

Sharing some shots of corals polyps today. The Stylocoeniella's give me the most joy as they are encrusting coral but put out these huge polyps. Looking to add more to the tank. Pushing the bio load max here before starting a new tank and letting this one grow out. I love Nano tanks!

I moved my frogspawn on top of rockwork. Getting ready to pick up some splattered hammers, gold and purple hammer this week.
Still looking for nice Acans and bowerbanki coral. If you have any for sale reach out.

Pics of small but beefy frogspawn and meat eating Acans. I love my coral food mixture it make them very puffy

Stopped dosing All For Reef and started dosing calcium. Calcium levels have been on the low end and Alk at 10kh. Mg has also been at 1350 on the low end.

I’ll start back AFR once Alk is below at or below 7.5kh. My light is currently 12” above tank and don’t want to raise it more based on high Alk levels

No new coral today. Had some good chalice and a bleeding monti but have no room for the bleeding monti, I’ll revisit that frag once I get my frag tank cycled
Picked up Red Sea calcium and magnesium today, started to run low. Still dosing calcium here my tank is stable at 440

Just rechecked my calcium it’s fallen to 420. I guess my LPS and SPS are starting to consume more. Before I started dosing just calcium since my ALK is more stable calcium has been dropping to 410. Keeping calcium at or above 440-450 means higher dosing. I’m still administering 1ml but dosing 15ml calcium/day in total. I’m bumping that up to about 20ml/day

I fragged the blue and gold torch. Both heads have about 2-3 mouths and starting to split. One of the heads were over shadowing the second head. Polyp extension has been insane in this tank

Mushrooms are looking a lot more healthy in the tank after moving coral around and blocking some flow towards the back. I also raised my light to total of 16” above the tank.

I’m setting up a frag tank and instead of throwing out the water during water changes I’ll be filling up the frag tank with it. I don’t have to worry about cycling. Refugium is working over time. Keeping my nitrates and phosphates in check. I’m also running phosguard.


Did some cleaning in the tank, made room for at least 7 more coral. 3 hammers, Goni, Torch, 2 scolys

Happy with these numbers here. I started running an air stone into the refugium which bumped up the PH from 7.8 to 8.4.
Tank is consuming 1-2KH/day

Thanks I flipped the aqua scape around to give a much better perspective and room for this weeks addition of more coral. A camera on the list as well. In person this tank looks amazing I need to capture it perfectly

Picked up some fungia coral of rare color morphs that was featured on fragboxtv during RAP.
Plus two hammers, one gold and another purplish orange. Can’t wait to share
