Idk why but dry rock always creates cloudy water :face-in-clouds:

Added 50g/hr UV sterilizer to tank.
Morning shots of my beauties

Update coming today, taking a trip to LFS to add more color to my 10gallon nano tank which is doing great since I set it up.
Looking to add more torches and maybe a purple or if I’m lucky a splattered hammer coral.

I can’t have chalice’s in this system due to higher Alk running. The MummyEye chalice browned out could be due to dosing of trace elements or high Alk but it’s the only coral affected by both.
Let me know if you guys would like to see something added in this system

Oh one more thing, picking up another sentia dosing pump to dose 2 part calcium and alk, as well as Mg.

Picked up some great coral from my LFS today. I should’ve recorded a video of this haul since it was a great day today. I have such a great relationship with my LFS in my area. I picked up some Acros something I never do but today I couldn’t help it.
All in all I’m very happy with today picks. I have a gold and blue torch waiting on me this week.

These Acros are the true stars!!!!

This coral very beautiful, it’s pink with purple hues running through it with yellow

Some top downs love, ignore the burnt out MummyEye chalice, it’s a rescue coral :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
I’ll be dosing “ALL FOR REEF” by Tropic Marine
Pretty sweet solution. Did a lot of research between this and two part dosing.

IMG_2686.jpeg IMG_2685.jpeg IMG_4773.jpeg
Calibrated All for Reef and it will last a full year, I’m ready to see if it actually will put your tank parameters in check.
Tank parameters currently:
PH 8.4
Alk 15
Cal 500
Mg. 1600
Nitrates update soon
Phosphate update soon IMG_4787.jpeg

Feeding my home made reef and marine fish food. The coral lobe this stuff, soon as it touches the tank my coral puffs up big time. Happy the wrasses love it as well

Had a cyna and bubble algae trying to over run my rock work so I dosed some bacteria to the tank and no more bubble algae. I stand by this product, I’ve used it in all my reef systems and love it. Use this stuff when adding new fish etc. you won’t be disappointed
I had a little scare with over night temps reaching 85F, I’ll be updating my tank lid and getting a cooling fan

Issue with one of my Acans, it’s been closed this week could be due to water chem before recent water change.
After adding bacteria let’s see if it perks up soon. Still feeding the tank heavy.
If it persists then I’ll do a quick coral dip

Update on using All for Reef, Calcium has risen to 520 and MG is stable at 1600.
Alk 11 and is dropping nicely which I would like to get into the science of this bottle but I think BRS posted a video on the chemistry of how this works.

Another update on using All for Reef,
I stop dosing for a couple hours over night and rechecked my water parameters. All jumped up to 14kh and Calcium fell to 420. I haven’t checked Mg but it’s a for sure thing that All for Reef balances out your parameters. So I’ll keep my dosing pump running. I’m happy with product

I set up back of tank refugium, new coral being added this week and possibly a new light. I’m looking for a good protein skimmer since this weeks purchase will be heavy on bio load.
Look at the mouth on this acan aka micromussa

UPDATE:
Topped off water after noticing some stress on coral. Checked salinity it was 40ppm
After topping off water checked some parameters
PH:8.1
Alk:12
Nitrates: 10
Phosphate: .02
Calcium: 440
mg: have to check

I seen phosphates are to low compared to nitrates so I know PhosGuard is working way to well. I removed of of PhosGuard from system to allow a rebound in phosphates.

I like API test kits idk why they have such bad rep, they are very close if not spot on to electronic testing.
