I need to move an Aquarium and i have a 20 gallon tall i used as a copper treatment tank for about 3 months. It's been empty about a year and I need to drain and move all the rock out of a 20 gallon aio aquarium.

Would it be safe to use the 20 gallon to hold the rock and sand for a few hours while I move and setup everything? Then I'll move the rocks back in.

I have a 10 gallon with liverock setup to hold the few tiny fish and shrimp for a day or 2 while their 20g AIO settles.

With previous copper generally a risk but if tank is dry, you can do a bleach and water cleaning and flush with cool water and set it up

Thanks, I just cleaned it out as best I could. It is really shiny.
The rock will only be in the bad aquarium with a powerhead for a few hours and then back into their normal home with all new water at the new spot. It is just a fowler system too.

Edit: It has been fowler for awhile but I want to start throwing coral into it soon.
