I have been enjoying setting up the Evo 13.5 for the last month
- 2 rocks totaling about 5kg
- 6kg of course gravel
- Sicce Voyager Nano 1000
- Eheim thermocontrol e 50 - in chamber 2
- stock pump is moving everything fine
- Inkbird ITC-306A to prevent the heater from running away
- Everything plugs into a CyberPower UPS that will prevent spikes and give me around five hours run time during an outage
- upgraded the light to AI Blade Grow because I wanted to keep the stock hood

The final fun was firing up the 3d printer to get rid of the stock sponge. I used transparent PETG for a chamber 1 basket as well as closing off the lower bypass into chamber 2. The basket took almost 23 hours to print. I have floss on top, chem pure blue in the middle, and the bio media on the bottom shelf.

Looking good!

Just a reminder but please quarantine your fish and corals if you. already don't plan to do so. When I first started Reefing I had no idea that I needed to Quarantine fish and lost all of my new fish to velvet fish disease and had to leave my tank empty for 76 days to starve the disease. :( Avoid my mistake...

Other than that you should have a thriving reef tank :D Good luck and happy reefing!

Just looking at one of these myself. I like the look of the printed basket.
Have you found any good threads or sources of info on these?

Looking good and will keep watching your progress for inspiration.

Its been 5 weeks and the cycle appears to be done. I think I am ready to start to slowly add some things.

Salinity 1.026
Ammonia 0 ppm
Alkalinity 132 ppm (7.4 dkH)
Phosphate 0.03 ppm
Calcium 559 ppm
Magnesium 1265 ppm

The calcium seems a little high but I have tested when I mix up 10 liters of saltwater and that is what I am getting out of the box. I will grab another box and check it as the manufacturer says it should be around 445 with salt of 1.026. If the new box is better I will work back and forth between them.
When I add ammonia up to 2 it is back to 0 the next day.

This is what I printed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6267303

Used PETG.
No size changes just did it 100 percent
printed on it's back
I have a Ender 3 so I had to set the outside boundaries of the plate to 0 so it would fit
I find that petg will pull away from the plate so I had a brim to help hold it down.

I feel it turned out great and it saved me 100 on the intank basket that I can spend on something else.

Just set one up, cycled with Dr tims, a few days ago put a pair of clowns in from our other tank, I printed a media basket for chamber 1 but only to hold floss, alot of the media baskets you'll see will allow water to escape through the fins into chamber 2, mine ensures all the water goes through the floss then up into the top of chamber 2x as I'm only going to use floss and water changes for nutrient control/export. I was going to use bio balls but a discussion I started on here had experienced refers saying they will end up creating higher nitrates.

Heater is in chamber 2, return pump and whilst still monitoring the seneye is in chamber 3

Lights haven't arrived yet but won't be used for a few months anyway.

Anyone else get photobombed when they try to take a picture of the coral. I guess both the clowns and the shrimp expect food when I come within sight.

Pretty excited. I was down with the magnifying glass to get a really close look at an acan and noticed microscopic creatures all over the glass. What I believe are 'pods that I guess came in with a coral or the clean up crew.
