On Thursday I loaded a U Haul Truck in Tacoma, WA . Friday flew back to Maryland. Was too tired and sore to pull Nine Day old Filter Socks. Also the ATO Failed on my 120 Gallon, no water was pumped in. Took care of that with a drip. Since then I been catching up on the maintenance, and dealing with a multiple tank outbreak of Cyno. The ATO?? A Snail decided to lay eggs on the optical sensor.

Dude, you were about 40 minutes away from my house while in Tacoma. I'm not a big fan of that city! When the paper mill was up and running it STANK! We called it The Aroma of Tacoma!

Ain't nothing like a game of roulette with some protozoa
Really it's just about finding a fast moving portion of the stream. Dad taught me to look for clean rocks and get the water from there, even if you have to wade out. All of these lakes had an incoming and outgoing streams. So it was pretty easy to find a good spot. MOST of the time.

Down here in the south, nothing is clear or clean, we get the wash from major cities and towns. But I have been fishing in lake Spinney in Colorado springs, Colorado. The lake only gets water from rain or snow melt, but I still would not drink it. To much of a chance to take

Yeah, ya never know. But we were good and really there wasn't any choice. Those hikes were long and some went by the in or out going river. We'd drink a lot and refill. Tasted great. Really good.

Did you build the stand?
Yes, but it was originally for a different tank.

The Red Sea just fit on it perfectly, but the front and back now became the sides. The hole for the cords was unfortunately what is now the front, but the hole cover isn't terrible.

It matches my other tank stand.

My wife and I used the weekend to kick back and relax. It was nice to have an extended weekend.
Yeah, we did too. We took the first two days for us, then worked on clearing out my Dad's place to prep it for an estate sale. There's stuff EVERYWHERE right now! It's almost to the point where we can box up and get it clean, but dang. When he moved down close to me he got rid of about 70% of his stuff in that move. Just 57 years of unused stuff lying around mostly in the basement.
