We have a 7+ year old ocellaris clown fish that had its left side fin clamped to its body on Sunday morning. Late in the morning he was using it and it appeared with a little white sloughed mucus like or shedding with a slight tear. During this time he was eating and swimming normally. Monday, it was just a fin tear and still active. Today, it has a tear on its other side fin and top dorsal fin. Still eating and moving normally. Is this fin rot? It is not showing continuous rips of its fin in multiple areas but multiple locations. It’s overall color is good (no mucus like coating or white tint) and has no other spots.
We have 135 gallon total volume salt water tank.
All parameters are in normal range.
We did add in some more corals recently and added magnesium and calcium to the tank which was done over a few days (completed about a week ago).
Its main tank mates are a coral beauty, false flame angel and a pink chromis those have all been together for years.
We did add about a month ago a hawk fish which was to replace one we had about a year ago and a file fish.
We also have a fire shrimp, ~6 peppermint shrimp, 2 emerald crabs and some other clean up crew guys.
See images of the little guy.
Any help would be appreciated!
