I'm sure there are some threads on this...I tried searching without many results so here it is :)

I have a system that is compiled of ~120g total volume, mixed SPS, LPS, and softies. I just purchased some NP BioPellets and some MicroBacter 7. I'm wondering who out there has used them in conjunction and what suggestions you may have regarding amount of pellets and dosing.

Also, I have a BRS media reactor that I plan on using the pellets in. Are there any preferable mods needed to use the pellets in one of these reactors that would make them more efficient etc?

Thanks in advance :)

pellets depend more upon load not volume
the biggest suggestion i have is go slow you dont want to add pellets too fast or youll have a massive cyano bloom. i dont remember off hand how big that reactor is, but i would consider perhaps 1/4 cup to start. check the brs video. obviously you dont want any sponge in that reactor at all or it will clog.
mb7 is a great thing to use i use it on all my tanks.

Start out real slow start put with half dosage, make sure to soak over night in ro/di, for me my alk needed to be lowered to 8-9 dkh. You just need to find the sweet spot on your dkh where your corals like it

My dKh is at 8.1 in that system already :) I have 250ml of of pellets (about 1 cup). I'll start with a smaller amount and add slowly I guess :)
