Started using the poly-fil as the filter floss for my tank. LOVE IT! Change all of it daily after I clean the glass. Takes about 3 minutes total, and the tank is super clear and clean now!

U.V. Sterilizer. Find one that best fits and works with your tanks' flow, size, needs. Make sure it'll fir! Have an AIO 40 gal, so my options were limited, but found one, and will never go back! Algae has been cut down, plus using the floss around it like a sock, it keeps my tank crystal clear!

Official Entry: When "scrubbing" or picking algae off of the rock work (GHA in my case) hold a small siphon tube like airline or 1/4" hose to actually remove it all from the system. This way it doesn't just clog up flow or attach itself somewhere else.

The aquascape is the most important part to a beautiful reef tank. Smaller is better than bigger. Too big, the tank will look "chunky" and the corals won't have enough room to grow. Too small, there won't be any room for corals.

Even without corals, a tank with a good aquascape can look better than a tank with corals- at least in my opinion.

Official entry: The most helpful thing I have learned was from Ron Reefman that puck LED light fixtures tend to spotlight more than fixtures that have the LEDs spread out. Also, that BB lights are equally as good as the more expensive ones.

Would be nice if you could actually find Noopsyche lights available for purchase.

Everythings out of stock on Noopsyche's own store.
Bonus Entry: Check the facebook group. I just looked at it and it has a list of retail LFS that carry them.
(Not sure if this fits the bonus qualification so will be doing more anyway!)

Official entry, just some quick tips I've learned:

- Glue your PVC
- Telfon tape is not for PVC/plastic fittings, use Teflon paste or get a better gasket, you will crack a fitting at some point using tape.
- PVC unions are your friend
- Secure you rockwork, doesn't have to be cement drill some holes and use fiberglass/acrylic pegs
- Make sure you have enough room to work in your stand if your sump is located there.
- Leak test your tanks before bringing them inside, new or used
- Overflow/wet floor alarms will save you so many headaches
- You're not gonna check back on that in five minutes, just set a timer.

Due to the nature of Facebook, and contests like this shoving things down the page quickly, you can't find jack on Facebook. That's what actual websites are for... giving people access to actual valuable information, like how to buy your products that your website says is Out of Stock. IMHO.

-Understand that NOTHING good (only bad) ever happens fast in a reef tank … STAY PATIENT!
-Read as much as you can about keeping a saltwater tank … listen to those with experience.
-We cannot duplicate nature … only try to replicate it "stuff" is going to happen … learn from set backs.
