yes am really taking into consideration taking the eel to my lfs I know the tank is to small and she's just there not moving and hardly eating this is like giving away your dog but I think its affecting the cycle even though its all dead rock no sand

Do you have a way to post an ammonia reading picture so we can see the level

Just ammonia
going to get rid of the eel giving it to my daughter I think is a huge bio load for a 60 gallon that's cycling she's 2 feet long and weighs about 5 pounds I think

Well that’s an amazing animal you sustained for sure, I hadn’t seen one that old in someone’s tank before yours
Yea I bought her when she was just a pencil size it's been part of the family her name is Lola people call me just to see how's Lola doing so you can see why am having a hard time getting rid of her

I saw a little drop on the nitrates today but it's still purple

what do you think of prime for thr high nitrites

I expect it is useless. Nitrite is not toxic in marine systems unless you are talking about hundreds of ppm.
