Hello,

My little reef tank is 4 months old.
My problem is that the phosphate level is 0.0 ppm (so I started adding phosphate), but the nitrate level is high, 25 ppm.
The question is, is there any homemade method or product that I can use to reduce the nitrate without also reducing the phosphate?

Thank you in advance for your replies!

I would go a combination of solutions but home-made NO3PO4X is just a Vodka and Vinegar.
It will lower your phosphates too but really it's promoting nitrifying bacteria that will process the Nitrates.
Same as a refugium in that it will help pull nutrients. Skimmer will help, Mechanical filtration, Feed less, specialized biological media (marine pure bricks) for denitrification.
And water changes will all help.
