I've owned most of the major Zebrasomas, more than one, on many;
Black (heart eyes) and V. Sailfin ( because DJ) and I think Most of them are A ho le o's.

They have such low survival rate in captivity, I won't have one in my tank.

They are beautiful. I would like to see one, for the novelty, but not knowing it likely won't last a year.

As much as I don’t want to ruin the dream but this is one of those fish I believe should stay in the wild. They love coral to eat and I believe they need at least some traces of it in their diet and thing get really big. Very very delicate like Lost said it be nice if it were to even last a year and even that is a big stretch. Think of it as a stubborn CBB but 5x harder. One of the most beautiful fish though I agree it would be amazing to keep one

Paul B has a section on Idols in his book, he attributes his success (5 years max) to feeding them sponges..

Beautiful fish though!
That is a later fish for sure i have a lot of research to do but if i did it would be difficult and thats an understatement again my holy grail fish....otherwise my realistic is a black tang....someday this will happen and it will be glorious....

oil based kilz or latex ?
Latex for sure.

Do you have the ability to spray the paint? A $16 hvlp cup gun from harbor freight on an air compressor is what I normally use.

Brushing/rolling will take FOREVER.

Remember to also paint inside the cabinet.
