Made the mistake of seeking a second opinion with a doctor outside the network and paid for it brutally cost wise took everything out of the bank that was set aside for the build and for emergencies so just like a kick in the face....

Figures it would help with bacterial growth and also give a real feel to it as well. Thought maybe certain things might be better on the rubble and rock work for grow out also has step levels to it for placement. Trying to find the sweet spot for flow direction is tricky with it only being 20 gal. But small changes every couple days will get me there.

Well going to pick up a few things on monday for this build and possibly future builds as well. I got an unbelievable score today and opportunity I could not pass up found a used 90 gallon with stand and also a 55 gal with stand comes with wave makers heaters some dosing equipment 80lbs of lr all for the very low price of free 99. Met a guy through masc a colorado reef forum that was getting out of the hobby and was giving away his tanks. The 90 gal is a reef ready tank. Just would need a few things with a custom sump being one of them good thing i know a guy lol. 55 gal is not reef ready but could potentially be added to the other 55 i already have to make a dual frag tank system that i could do when upgrading the 20 gal frag tank. Going to be busy getting these cleaned and checking out all equipment that comes with. Super excited to say that things just got interesting. I will probably use the 90 gal stand for my custom built 90 and give away the 90 gal reef ready tank.....maybe lol not sure yet. Well here are some pics of whats coming my way monday afternoon. 90 gal is the first pics 55 is the next few. There is a canopy that can go on either the 55 or the 90 but i might play with the canopy a little bit and change some things. Super excited for this score. Cant wait for monday.

So she told me i had to make a decision the 20 gal or the 55 so looks like im going to have a 55 gal frag tank now and the 20 gal has to be sold lol i think she was meaning to get rid of the 55 but oops. Will get that going when i can all contents from the 20 will go to the 55 as well as some more lr and another frag platform that will be a single base level platform since i need more lower level room. I will be using the 55 i get monday for a sump and still unsure what to do with the other 90 reef ready tank.....hmmmm maybe a basement build lol not sure yet....

Well started the scape for the transition to the 55g frag tank. Wanting a real natural appearance with obviously some unnatural characteristics lol. Gonna be honest super excited for this. Everything from the 20g setup that i have is going to be in the other half of the 55 gal setup on the right side. I really like the concept of the frag racks having the rock work appear to grow through them. I also was able to get my space I wanted for the lower rack assemblies with this concept. I will be seperating the 55 with half bare bottom half sand and crushed coral with using a separating system with a piece of glass and plopping pablo my watchman goby in this tank as well. Let me know what yall think and any advice......

my only concern is if you need to clean /scrub the rocks.
I made it so it can disassemble there is two acrylic rods that hold the very top rock above the top side frag rack and where the rocks can lift off of it but yet still sit in place without toppling over also one on the rock one the right side rock through the the rack on that side. I will have to take pictures when i get home.

Well she is home and in the shop going to be adding to the scape plus i have everything from the 20g going into the right side of the frag tank also have about 80 lbs of rock i scored in this deal as well. I will be pressure washing all of it as it is nast and had some cyano in the tank it came from. Let it dry and seed it all in the brute can but i have a lot of good stuff to use for it and to be able to break up and scape with.
