Yes. and the majority of thw GHA came off with just a toothbrush. waiting on fedex to show up with CUC.. well partial one at least. hoping to keep it in check till after the first of the year. will not be able to make it to any of the meets till then or later. Going down for knee surgery.

ok thanks. yeah I didn't even think about the lights causing a problem till you said it last night.

I actually think someone else had brought it up either in this thread or your other thread.

It's worth a shot. I know I've said this before but if it were my tank and the situation you are in (empty tank and rocks in a new tank) I would have gone the bath route. Then again that's just me wanting to ensure the rocks were 'clean' to start with to avoid months if not years of algae battle.

Not likely, I run my OR LEDs 100% on both channels from day 1, no hair algae...

I'm not completely sold on the lights being the cause myself. Still think it's PO4 in the rock as I noted earlier. Don't know what else it could be with no other source of nutrients.
