New zoas at 38 ppt salinity. How to reduce to 34?

I just picked up 4 different zoa frags from a fellow reefer but the salinity of his tank was 38 ppt and mine is at 34 ppt. I have an established fluval 13.5 with just rock and sand right now. I could throw some salt into it and try to match 38 ppt but I am not sure if that is necessary.
Thanks for any help!

I have a main display and the fluval 13.5. I meant I could use the fluval to acclimate them over the next couple days and then add to the display.

I think you can just drip acclimate them for 30 mins or so - zoas are quite hardy. Others may disagree. That being said, I have never drip acclimated corals, I just give them an iodine dip and into the tank they go.

@TX_REEF So if these were yours you would just dip and stick them in?

Also would it change anything if it was just his mixing station that was high and his tank is much closer to 35?

I would verify testing first and recalibrate if needed. Someone selling coral usually wouldn't make the mistake of salinity being high.

I am just using a refractometer and I have some calibration solution and RODI for verifying.
He is getting out of the hobby and I don't believe he has been testing much for a few months. It was also his mixing containers water. Perhaps his tanks are actually on target but this is a new mixed batch?

Usually bringing salinity down is much more gentle than up. As others have said drip acclimation until correct should suffice.

I drip acclimated for about 45 minutes and did a coralRX bath.
I guess they don't look too ticked off..
