NEW WATERBOX 155.5

New here from San Diego!

Previously had a 7 year old Red Sea 250 mixed reef that leaked at the seams just over a month ago. Lost most of my livestock while contemplating leaving the hobby.

Long story short, Labor Day came and waterbox had a sale. Now I have a new 155.5 frag that I’d like to share with you guys!

I will be following. I was saving for a waterbox 150.4 with the plan to purchase on Black Friday. My daughter got engaged and is getting married next May so my upgrade funds turned into wedding funds. Now I’m shooting for Black Friday 2025.

Update! Fish and corals from what I had left from my Red Sea 250 failure all look happy. I was using a coral grow blade on my last tank and currently debating on getting one for this. Unfortunately the one I have is only 39”. I’ll need a 48” blade for the new tank.

I copied TSA’s spinning refugium for this with setup. Also installed my first apex system and I love it!

Currently using the hybrid BRS/tropic Marin balling method.

Have you noticed the 125 went up in price by 200$ and the 155.5 went up by 600$
so if they discount 15 percent for black friday like they have, the cost is still going to be 30$ higher at $3229.15.

Wish I had jumped on it for labor day sale.

Well that’s not good! I guess it is like everything in the past few years, prices just keep going up !

But to raise prices by 600$ and do a 15% blue friday discount is rediculous. What's the point of blue friday sale.

Wow what a bummer! I had wanted to order during the Labor Day sale but was going to be out of the country.

Look forward to following along your build but I’m going to have to reconsider whether it’s worth it at this new price point!
