Hello! I am new to reefing and just getting started in the hobby! I have a 75 gallon tank set up with some corals and anemones. Im very new to all this so taking it slow to avoid ammonia spikes and learning from those who have gone before me. Im open to advice and appreciate the shared knowledge!

Not very old at all. About 2 weeks now. Im testing my water every few days and I dosed with Vibrant 3 times now. I feel getting the proper biology and microorganisms and bacteria going right from the start made a big difference. I also have a lot of filtration going and Im adding a Reef Octopus skimmer tonight, I already bought it just havent had time to set it and tune it yet.

Looking great my friend! My best advice would be (as a fairly new reefer myself)

Take it as slowly as you can stand too lol.
Pay attention to coral placement. Take flow and lighting into consideration first when adding corals. Too much light can zap a coral fairly quickly. And most of all... Ask questions. This is the best community for begginers.

I appreciate that very much! I still dont have any fish, just working on building corals, anemones, and clean up crew of snails, crabs, and shrimp. Im also running a lot of filtration and beneficial bacteria so my tank has kept good numbers so far. How long have you been reefing?

Sounds great! What corals have you added now? I've only been reefing about 6 months, but I've had saltwater aquariums since I was a teenager. I think it's good that you are working on maturing your tank and getting your numbers where you want them. Dont hesitate to ask any questions you have. If I don't know the answer, I'll probably know someone who does lol.
