Hello all! This is my first post here on R2R. I finally got a reef tank with a sump (Waterbox MarineX 90.3) after a few years of using a canister filter and a much smaller tank. I'm very glad to be rid of the cannister filter, it was a pain to maintain it. As you can see my GSP went wild on a rock in the last tank, and I plan on keeping it isolated and donating the ones on the other rock to someone local. I also got a few new corals since I finally feel like I can adequately take care of them now.

I also built a mixing station to make sure I keep up with weekly water changes, as mixing in a 5 gallon bucket is too much time and effort now. Plus I hated using my son's bathroom sink, with a rodi unit in there, and fill small containers in the tub. Ill be using a small brute trash can with a heater and pump from my last tank to mix for me. Also you can ignore the shelf with the instant ocean bucket, it's actually Tropic Marin bagged in there (the bucket broke in shipping).

Now that I have this new tank I really wanted to expand my types of coral and have a mixed reef setup. I plan to get a favia and acro. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Hello and Welcome to R2R! I have a 7 stage RODI unit set up in my garage. I have two 40g containers. 1 has RODI and the other has the salt mix. I use the python to pump from the garage to my living room. This makes things easy since I change 35g at a time.

Nice! I certainly want to upgrade my setup in a few years. I think if I can stay consistent with the hobby and do a good job of taking care of the tank that I can justify upgrading to a larger tank and better setup.
