My flippers came in today.. I really like them.. but its gonna take time to master the flip..
Flip it on a tank corner. So when you remove the handle to flip switch to the other plane of glass, if that makes sense. That's the easiest way I have found. Just got my nano flipper today, have had the original for a couple years

Steve - one suggestion I would make is to not end up with piles stacked on top of each other. That is one thing I wish I had done differently in my tank. Though with the horrible dimensions of my current tank (tall but no wide) I didn't have too many options. I ended up stacking stuff and what that has resulted in is several dead spots due to lack of water movement.

You have the room in your tank to spread things out. Bridges and overhangs help tremendously in providing surface area, while at the same time leaving lots of open spaces under and in between rocks for water to flow through. The left side of your structure for example, maybe try spacing out the bottom two pieces and putting a long flat piece on top to create a shelf. Moving the small piece in the center of that left side structure will create a cave of sorts and will open things up a bit.

I see one really long flat piece dead center up top of the structure. Instead of bridging it across the left and the right, maybe use it on either the left or the right side and do something else on the other end? You could even have two separate structures on each side of the tank?

Just my 2 cents worth :)

How long is a good time to try sps? Its been up about 2 months.. I have only tried 2 sps in 7 years.. nitrates hold steady at 5 or just under.. (red sea) just wondering. I know there are a bunch more experienced sps people. .
