I am newer to anemone and am not sure if this is normal. I bought the anemone last night and it came out but when i woke up this morning it had gone back to being shriveled up? Does it need food? If so what kind? Or do I just leave it a lone?

Wow he is very white in color. Very washed out. I will let other people who have more experience jump in here. But I think its bad if they dont have any color.

Probably just acclimating to your tank, might be brighter light more flow...
Looks very white in the picture, could be bleached.
Yea in the store I bought him he was very white I didn’t know what it meant to be “bleached”

Just leave it alone it might take 1 day to come out might take couple of weeks. And it will come out eventually. What was this sold as in your LFS

I would return him if you can and tell the shop they sold you a bleached nem. I heard they can regain zooxanthellae if you have other nems in the tank but not sure it's the only way. For the nem to get better you would probably need a mature system and perfect conditions for a nem.

If that’s a BTA imo maybe you want to consider giving it back to your local fish store. But it’s upto you but if it was me the anemone would go back for a nice full of colour replacement or money back . Bubble tips vary in colour but a rbta looks like this

I don’t know if it is because of the location and it’s just hiding right now because when I look at it more carefully it has purple tips. I don’t know tho I might wait a couple of days and see!

Are you sure that’s not a condy anemone? If so, I would make sure you weren’t charged for a bubble tip because condylactis usually cost significantly less than a bubble tip.

About 3 months. The anemone I just got yesterday

Most likely, the nem will die in your tank. Your tank is still very new and not established yet. Most people will tell you to wait 6months to a year before adding BTAs. Sure some exceptions to that and some people have had success with having nems in a new tank but i wouldn't risk it. If your LFS sold you that BTA that white, i would return it asap. Its not going to get any better in your tank

That’s why I asked what it was sold as . Let it settle in and you can have a good look at it when it comes out but if it has purple tips it’s not a BTA
