Again, Red Sea is changing the landscape of the filter roller game with the Nano Mat..

Wish Waterbox would do the same… asking those out there with access to the Red Sea NanoMat and a current waterbox AIO with the 2.75” filter sock, know of this NanoMat will fit our Waterbox tanks or not.

I understand it’s early.. but hoping someone out there can help the community with a test.

Seems like a complete product copy from isealive - who makes this for many all in ones. Here’s the Waterbox model

Waterbox 50.3 isn’t a 4” sock
I get ya, but my logic is if it fits red sea 2.75 (granted this is without the sock holder) with and claims being able to go into 4in. Since the wb dimensions is 3.1in it's possible but probably will need some kind of base adapter or brace. Won't know for certain until it comes out.

Agreed that’s what I was thinking… I might need to be the test dummy

I may fiit. The 4 inch adapter is to fill in the circular filter sock hole. Of course really need to have both to see for sure.

I'm thinking if it's just dropped in without the adapter. This picture on BRS show a spout-like attachment. The Fuisons have a small lip on the filtration side of the overflow which I image would allow water to spill into that spout, if the dimensions allow.

Make sure y’all read up on the max flow that thing can handle, 250 gph…. I thought I had found the perfect fit for my Reefer 350 then I read that :frowning-face:

Edit to add that i have no room for any of the bigger models in my sump

Yeah, I'm a little confused about the 250 gph max flow rate, given the Red Sea Max Nano G2 XL is "NanoMat-ready" and has a 410 gph return pump.

I have a Max E-170 AIO where I've swapped out the protein skimmer for a Tunze and modified the surface skimmer to direct the flow into tray with two 2" filter socks. I can create an adapter to direct the flow into a NanoMat. But, with the Max E-170 having a 568 gph return pump, I don't know if the NanoMat will be constantly overflowing.

Gotta love 3D printers. :)

I came here to find out the same thing…ordering one anyway, since I’m guessing with the sock plate out of the WB chamber, it fits the same as the Red Sea tanks…it’s just the little lip that might be what it needs to hold it? Will figure it out somehow.

I'd also like to know if it fits in the IM Fusion AIOs.
I did some basic measurements on my NUVO 20 and it looks like it will just fit with few cm's on either side, the spillway might have to be modified however. I will probably still go with either the custom made one by isealive or the actual IM filter roller although those are both manual, until someone proves that it fits and works.

Do you think the adapter they are sending will fit in the hole that comes in the sock plate ? If so that seems perfect.
