Just curious. My tank is just under 9 ft across and 3 ft to the back and 28 inches deep. I have three cross braces, so I have four openings that are 24 in x 34 in. Do you recommend four of the compacts, one for each opening? Or is there a way to configure two full length versions? I would not think having lights blocked by the cross bracing would be of any help.

Good evening! I have a standard 90 gallon tank. Would 2 compacts work well? I have a decent amount of spa. Thanks!

If you have lots of SPS then yes, to Compacts would be great but in most cases, one full size unit is all you need. I'm running one Atlantik V4 on my Reefer 350 and is all the light I need but I also have a mixed reef.

I went with the full size Atlantik v4. A compact would have worked for me but for a little bit more price wise I got a fixture that was twice he size and can handle a bigger tank when I finally upgrade.

There are several people who go this route, especially if they see an upgrade in the future.

I think it would be a great light for that size the compact would probably be too small for the 30" width of the 70 unless you were going for a mixed reef

The Compact is the same width as the full size model so I see no difference in width coverage.

I consider the 30 inch the width, the 22 the depth and the 19 the height

So the larger fixture would cover more width but you are correct the depth coverage would be the same

The Compact will effectively cover an area 32 x 24 if the tank was all SPS. For mixed reef a little larger area.

I'm sure it would since you mount it high and it's a really powerful light. I would still go with the full size at a lower intensity to help reduce shadowing

If price was no options then two compacts would be the best option almost the same as t5's from a shadowing standpoint

I see the effective coverage at 32" x 24". I have a 93 cube with dimensions of 30"x30" and about 24" depth. It's a mixed reef but really trying to push SPS. I'd like to keep it to one compact. Obviously two would work, but one?

Hi Ed,
It will cover well with high PAR 24” for sps ,
Then 4inch from both size you can put some LPS .also you also can add extra OR 60 blue sky for extra power or Color .
