New hybrid sump Elos

I just noticed that elos has updated there aquariums and sumps.
they now have an absolute line sump and its called an hybrid sump.

I tried to look for more info. and on utube.. but no vids what so ever.
Does anyone here have the new sump? And ifso what does it make it hybrid?

I tried to see if elos was a sponsor but i couldnt find it from the list.

Elos's presence in the States is surprisingly small, the Elos AquaStudio in NY closed last year. They have small USA Facebook presence as well. @AquariumSpecialty seems to be the leader in Elos stateside, maybe he knows about the updates?

All our aquariums incorporate our NEW DESIGN SUMP. All you need is incorporated into the design of this new Hybrid SUMP.
Made in glass, for easy maintenance and with a built in PVC separator, the ELOS Hybrid SUMP includes a degassing chamber, a mechanical chamber (two in larger models) a chemical chamber with a high water flow where filtration materials such as: resins, carbon and zeolite can be housed.
The water flow can be adjusted in each chamber in order to adapt the flow to the specific materials being used.
All of the sumps incorporate a separate chamber that can be used as an RO water container, or thanks to the overflow hole, as a designated refugium.
The large center area can house the return pump and protein skimmer etc.​

I've had an Elos 120xl on order since last October and it arrived a couple weeks ago. To my surprise it came with the new sump! I'm guessing it's their largest size as I requested the 4000 Sump.
Basically there's an overflow part of the sump where the drain enters, this then flows into a filter sock section and on to a media/biological section and into the main area. There is however an adjustable pipe that can allow water into the main section before the sock, essentially tuning the flow through the sock and other section.
This will work great for my Siporax media

I received the same sump as the above when I purchased Elos 70 and I really didn't like the sump at all since there is no separate chamber for skimmer and return pump. But I think it's still a better designed sump than the design they had before. Still I changed it to Geo 24R sump and much happier with it now.
