I introduced a one spot Foxface in QT yesterday with a lawnmower blenny. The blenny seems to be acclimating well but still timid of course. The Foxface is very timid and still showing the stress/camouflage markings. No rapid breathing noted. How long before I should worry?

Tank has been running for about 3 weeks via cycling with bacteria and ghost feeding. Tank is 20 gallon long. No meds or copper at all he moment. I have yet to try feeding yet but it are at fish store and looked healthy at time of purchase.

these FF are extremely skittish. i added one a month ago, it didnt eat til the 4th day. keep dropping LITTLE amount of food into the tank so they can get familiar with your face and your feeding routine. good luck and happy reefing !

Foxfaces are probably the most skitty fish ever. I go to replace my nori on the clip and my magnificent acts like the sky is falling lol. If it doesnt look sick its probably fine

Thank you all for the help. Hopefully it'll turn around soon
It may take its time. I think my first or second post to this forum was something like "Help! My foxface is in a corner and won't eat!". The replies were all something like "He will".

He did; he's a big fella now.

Appreciate the help everyone, it's been a bit beyond 24 hours but like everyone is saying it might take a few days for it to become comfortable

When I had my foxface in a small observation tank. it hid constantly. I made sure he got food but after a couple weeks became concerned that he never came out. Observation revealed no issues other than hiding which certainly was not good for the fish's morale/health. Foxfaces shed skin, and there were no signs of any parasites so I put him in display. He was out and about immediately. Showed camo for a several days and still does sometimes, but he is now fat and happy.

I just fed them and the Foxface attacked the food and is now swimming around more freely. Still has it's camouflage marks but I'm pleased with the change in behavior
I've had my ff over 5 years and he still goes camo on a regular basis.
