Good evening everyone,it is 9:40 here in Ohio
Quick question, tomorrow I'm going to get 90 gal of bright well water to fill my new project. My question is,is it necessary for me to buy all live sand and all live rock? I'm in no rush besides to get it started to cycle. Thanks in advance..I'm so excited to have a bigger tank. My 28 gal nano is cool just way to small.

No, it’s not necessary. You can get dry rock and sand if you want, it’s just going to take longer to cycle.

100 lbs of live rock is just gonna cost a lil more than I'm ready to drop right now. Would half live rock and other dry rock work out ok then?

That should be juuuuust fine. Even if this method doesn't speed up the cycle, who cares? This hobby is about patience anyway!!!
