I just don't want to go back on what the original deadline was. It covered two Fridays so most people could be paid from their job with at least one of them. It hope it wasn't a mistake...

I think with the backups we will get close to a full contest if not all the way full. I think to keep it fair for everyone, we should stick to the one entry.

But again I am willing to do whatever the majority of people want to do.

Initially I thought 1 frag per contestant, but then it occurred to me that It would be interesting to see how similar size frags off the same coral placed in different locations in the same tank would differ in growth and color over a year. But perhaps that would be a project best suited to an individual's curiosity. Since this is a contest I imagine there will tend to be quite a bit of moving of frags to try to find the sweet spot in a given tank to maximize the chance of winning, which would nullify what I found interesting about the idea. So, in the end, I really wouldn't care either way. The only thing I would find distasteful is if both first and second place prizes went to the same contestant.

To keep this fair, we should wait till this Friday and see who pays and who doesn't. Those names got on the list because of their interest in the contest and keeping up with the threads. The payment terms were also known early on and this Friday(8/17) was agreed upon by several people.

I almost feel like we could have accommodated 2 grow out contests with 2 different frags. Different competitors on each list of course. There seems to be a lot of interest in this.

The due date hasn't passed yet, it's this Friday. I'm expecting some people to drop out and then I will send PMs to the backup list. With the corals shipping the whole week next week, the backup list people will have the full weekend to pay and choose a shipping date.

Adam said he will start to take payments this WEDNESDAY. The corals are going to heal for two weeks and then he said he will try and ship all corals the same week, so we all get them around the same time. You will need to private message @Battlecorals to submit payment and setup a shipment date. Payments will be due by FRIDAY the 17th. If payment is not made you forfeit your spot and the next person on the backup list gets to take it. He will ship single frags or you can turn your frag into a "battlebox".

I will start two more threads when it gets closer to receiving the frags. One for official pics (try to keep it just pics) and another to discuss the contest and of course how our frags are doing.

I would would be fine if he bought two to basically double his chances of winning.. I would propose however if people bought two entries they can only win one spot.. for example their 2 frags would not take first and second place.. but rather just take the highest placing frag..? But that’s just my thought
