I recently got new pumps for my 32 gallon tank. I ran them without any livestock in there for a week, but recently got a BTA and a pair of clowns. The BTA has been in for a day and has moved about a little bit, extended out, and seems pretty happy with the amount of flow it has. From what I have seen, the Nem will close up if it is getting too much flow in the tank, but it would likely just move to a less active spot. I just introduced the clowns and I am not sure if they are thriving by swimming straight into my Nero 3, or if I am going to end up out-swimming them. My last tank definitely did not have enough flow, and I just don't know if I have gone too far on the other end or if I am overreacting.

I looked at a few other threads and saw that this was something people had done in the past, but I am not sure if this is the case for my new pair. Any help would be great! I have a Nero 3 on the left side of the tank, and an Orbit 2 on the right side of the tank. I will post the schedule I created.

Tank Dimmensions:
32.5" L x 15.35" W x 15.75" H

I have found the AI pumps to pack a punch. I have one of them in a 40 gallon breeder along with a Jebao and I keep it at 40% max. All of my nems in that tank are doing super marvelous and all the livestock is happy. Two of them at up to 75% is quite high in a 32 gallon in my opinion.

I too have longed for a small nano pump that is programmable. Have the smallest Jabeo on a 20g which I could run 2 to mix up the flow. Will admit its easier to get the flow right on larger tanks but nano's are tricky

Sounds good. I turned them down some and this is what I'm running now. They are no longer swimming straight into the Nero anymore and seem much calmer. I may turn them down a little more too, but will keep an eye out. If you have any recommendations, I am all ears!

Looks much better. In a tank that size, that amount of flow will be good for SPS. If you’re going to stick to LPS, softies and nems I would consider the random flow with a low of 5% and a high of 25 or 30% since you have two of them going.
