So after I went and seen the amazing @parroki and got the chromis, just as he said as soon as it hit the water the damsel went right for it. So I took the damsel to the local store and gave it back to them. Ended up caming home with the new oscelaris* and kole tang. Settling in very nice. Added more live rock as you can see on the build thread. Then my dad comes in from out of town and is getting out of the game so he brought me his complete 75 gallon setup. I'm salivating. BUT I DON'T HAVE ROOM FOR IT. What's a guy to do idk how I'll be able to fight setting it up. But at least I have a fun and exciting new build coming up in the next couple years. Only question I have at this time for you guys is how much flow is too much flow?? Thanks in advance.

You want areas a fish can sleep without being blown away, and not so much flow corals pull back or shrink.

Seems like I've got dead areas within the rock for sleep I've got a 800gph head running in my 42 gal hex. Just don't want to be running too much

I used to run between 40 and 50 times tank volume in flow. including skimmer/refugium and powerheads. sometimes more. the more rock work the higher flow you need in my opinion. and that is just to avoid dead space in the rocks where detritus will collect.
