Hi,

I have a somewhat new 6105 Eco that after working properly for the last month and a half, has decided to ignore pulsing and just blow at a constant speed. I have tried unplugging it, but the problem remains. The controller’s blue lights are still indicating that it’s telling the pump to pulse but the pump isn’t responding.

Anything I should try doing?

Thanks!

Things I’ve tried doing:
Unplugging the outlet from my Hydros and plugging in to the wall.

Unplugging from the Turbelle controller and trying it on my 6095 controller.

The most it will do is pulse once then return to a constant mode. It appears the auto adjust wave does not function now too + and pump doesn’t care what speed I have it on. Oddly enough, the food timer still works.

I would try the pump without the Hydros to see where the issue is. You would want to use pulse mode and set two different speeds and a pulse length above off. When the Hydros is connected, you need to be in External mode and all settings will be done on the hydros, main speed should be 100% and pulse and pulse power should be off. Auto Adjust in itself is not a mode, it is used to set a wave and you need to press mode again to go to wave ok and lock in the frequency that creates a wave. None of these modes should be in use if an external controller is connected, the controller is set to External and bypassed completely.

Thanks for your response. As mentioned above, I did try plugging the pump into the wall without using the Hydros XP8 and the same problem continued. I did try to set a wave correctly as well. The pump does not respond to any of the commands except the feed timer. The dials for pulse and speed, etc., also do not respond.

For clarity, I was just using the Hydros XP8 as a generic outlet so I could monitor power and turn off all of my pumps for feeding or water changes with one click of a button. I have a 6095 running this way without issue (as well as my 3155 ATO and 9430 skimmer). I don’t have a hydros wave engine to control any pumps. Is there harm in having these things plugged in to the XP8?
