I’m going to program a dosing pump to match loss with saturated kalk solution. I will see the tank every day so will monitor extra evap! 4 Chanel just in case I need to supplement with 2 part if I outgrow kalk and potentially just Rodi water if demand is not high enough

Stocking

Will introduce copepods and ampipods around 1 month into cycle. After introducing hair algae to get my algae skimmer up and running

Planned fish 2 springer damsel and 1 six line

2 peppermint shrimp 1 cleaner

1 emerald Carb

2 nerite snails 2 cerith and 2 banded trocus

2 hermits

Aqua scape will update with pics before filling with water, but I plan on building using epoxy and smaller pieces of Marco rock.
Questions

Will one AI prime cut it or should I aim to put lps at the middle/ bottom of the tank?

How does my game plan look gear wise?

Am I over stocked?

Specifically in terms of flow do I have enough? Should I tune down the Hob filter?
Should I upgrade to koralia 440’s?
Should I go for a chunky sand?

Will kalk be able to keep me closer to 8.3 and keep up with the demands of sps as they grow?

Would I benefit from starfish or sea earchins?

I will continue to post updates as everything comes together!

A smaller urchin such as a tuxedo urchin would need at a minimum a 15 g tank but it is recommended 10g for every inch of it’s adult size, 3”.

So I'm not only person on here doing a 10 gal...this I my frist saltwater tank I think I should of planned more but I'm adhd an I tend to live like with out a plan cause if I make one I tend to just forget it an just go with what ever I end up doing

At this time no wave maker just filter an power head.. thus tank is planned to grow out of an for learning ropes

Tank up for like a month! Algae scrubber is up and running and doing well! 1 crab 1 shrimp in so far.

Added 4 cerith snails and another peppermint shrimp! Algae scrubber not out competing the algae in the tank yet considering upgrading the light to ai prime freshwater!
