Never seen a post about this in my 5 months of reef keeping

Unsure what this thing is growing on my zoa. Any help would be appreciated.

My guess would be some sort of sponges. The larger tubes look similar but the really thin “hairs” look a bit odd.

Thanks! I’ve had this zoa for about 3 months now and it has yet to grow another polyp. I’m assuming this is because the sponge is hurting it?

Could be the sponge is taking up real estate. But could be other items such as water quality, lighting, etc.
