The ATK (Automatic Top-off Kit) is a simple, standalone, and complete solution for replacing water lost to evaporation. The new aquarium hobbyist has many challenges, but none is more annoying than the chore of adding water, every day, to make up for that lost to evaporation (a.k.a. topping off/up). This alone usually makes the automatic top-off (ATO) device the first piece of automation equipment purchased. The ironic flip side of this decision is that a faulty ATO device is one of the leading reasons for catastrophic aquarium failure, or even worse, flooding of the house or business. Not all ATO devices are created equal. 2. Ability to control another critical function of my tank through my APEX. Valuable feedback/alarms of topoff levels with the proven reliability of my APEX controller.
3. Availability to remotely monitor and manipulate topoff functions.
4. Excellent fail safe operation with optical and mechanical liquid level sensors.
5. Reliable DC pump with the power to push water up to 14'.
6. Ability to track amount of topoff used for future planning of extended vacations or time away from tank.
7. Ability to expand and grow future ATO needs.
8. Ability to expand flow control and leak detection functions of my APEX.
9. Ability to operate topoff functions if I don't have an APEX.

Very exciting capability to add to my robust APEX system. Would love to have one to aid in my confidence of leaving my tank for extended periods.

I like the triple redundancy and especially that it is a stand-alone product. I plan on buying an Apex at some point and knowing this ato will plug right in is a huge selling point! I just set up a new 40g and would love to put this ato in it!

I also like how you can add extra sensors for water levels or use leak detectors.
