I joined this form in search for some guidance and assistance. My brother passed away and has 9 80 gal DAS tanks in storage. At one time he had a retail pet store where he specialized in fresh and salt water fish. They have been in storage for 20 years now. I need to know if it is worth trying to sale or are they worthless now since they have been sitting empty? The tanks are in Johnson County KS.

My contact is 816-914-6589 or [email protected]

Welcome and you could try and sell them . They would need to be checked for leaking or any other damage but if none some one would buy them . What sizes are they

Sorry for your loss.

More than likely not worth anything. 20 years is a long time and when I sold all my tanks, the smaller ones were at or less than $1 a gallon and those were a few years old to new.

They are 80 gallon tanks. They are stored in a climate controlled unit.

Sorry for your loss and best start to listing them is leak checking them. Fill each with freshwater and check each after 24 hours and see if any showing signs of leakage. If not, empty them and clean up and list them.

Sorry for your loss!!!
My tank sat empty for 25 years, I filled it up and ran away, a few days later it was still holding water and that was 2 plus years ago.
Test the tanks and then start selling them.
