So I can go to my water company website and look at it somewhere and see?No, they post the results of water quality on line yearly.
Cheaper for them to use Chloramine.
Many cities do this.

Yes or reach out to your water company. So I can go to my water company website and look at it somewhere and see?
My chloramine in my region is 0.2 ppmOur water is managed by the Region in which we live.
So I just go to their website and search drinking water quality.
I’ve seen quite a few of these reports (lengthy) from major cities in both US and Canada.
No surprise, very common additive in city water. My chloramine in my region is 0.2 ppm
Will that cause the issues I’m having or aluminum? No surprise, very common additive in city water.
I don’t need that in my RODI.
Environment Canada suggests a number, much lower at 0.002.
This below from Randy. Great reading.
No clue. Have a read on Randy’s paper on this topic. Will that cause the issues I’m having or aluminum?
So how about this let me know if this is a good idea, top basket fiber media second basket Chemi pure 3&4 basket new bio media? No clue. Have a read on Randy’s paper on this topic.
He’s provided some data on the effects to marine aquaria.
It’s certainly something our tanks does not require and the less the better.
Is easy to remove most with another filter after carbon and before membrane so I’m just taking it out.
Some believe there can be a long term effect on SPS which results in brittle skeletons.
The media I use works in my RODI system, so removing much of the contaminant before it even gets to the display tank.So how about this let me know if this is a good idea, top basket fiber media second basket Chemi pure 3&4 basket new bio media?
What system do you have? The media I use works in my RODI system, so removing much of the contaminant before it even gets to the display tank.
So now am
Seditment
Carbon 1
Carbon 2
Choraguard
Membranve
DI
I’m not sure what you are asking. What system do you have?
If I need to add more to my rodi system since this in mineI’m not sure what you are asking.
RODI is the process.
Brand name, nope, right off Amazon delivered.
I call it the Uncle99 6 stage system.
1 Seditment, 2 carbon blocks, 1 Chloramine, 1 membrance brings 170ppm from the tap to 3ppm before DI, then DI filler brings to zero.
Standard stuff.
Each standard 10” canister can house any filter you want.If I need to add more to my rodi system since this in mine
1: sediment
2:carbon block
3: some kind of membrane
4: Di resin
Thinking about adding another 2 stage to make it 6 stage. Can the canister have whatever they want in them or are each canister made for each resin membrane etc?
I saw on brs I can add the 2 Di stages to make it a 6 stage and it will remove silicate, chlorine and something else that I know my ICP test came back with. Each standard 10” canister can house any filter you want.
So sediment, then carbon, then “whatever filter” then we push that through the RO (Reverse osmosis) membrane and through another 10” canister (DI always last).
I use a plastic, reusable insert for media that’s loose like DI, just refill and replace.
The carbon, sediment and if you wish chloriguard just interchange as they are cheap and not refillable.
I don’t have chlorine, but I do have Chloramine (chlorine and ammonia) and there’s a specific media for Chloramine, DI is not for this.I saw on brs I can add the 2 Di stages to make it a 6 stage and it will remove silicate, chlorine and something else that I know my ICP test came back with.

I didn’t see Chloramine reduction listed but maybe I missed that.I bought 2 of those and 2 containers and nee do resin and another filter.
At the bottom of the picture it says low levels of chlorimine, is that correct then?I didn’t see Chloramine reduction listed but maybe I missed that.
