This is current view of my Waterbox 65.4 AIO.

I wanted a shallow tank as its placement had some restrictions. I wanted everything low enough for best viewing from my couch. I built the stand and canopy to best accomplish this.

Equipment list:
AI axis 90 pump
AI orbit 2 gyre pump (2)
AI blade grow 39”

Building the stand gave me the opportunity to have it exactly the way I wanted it. It also allowed me to work with my kids and teach them some things. The stand is solid enough to fit any thing on it. I wanted an edge around so I could walk on it. Pictures from the stand build.

I removed the filter sock plates and built filter floss pad holders. The floss holders have an overflow wall to prevent too much water building up in the display area. It also allows for air to get underneath the filter floss to allow for a pressure difference and increase flow through the floss. I am running 200 micron floss in my outer chambers.

With the extra room in the outer chambers, I moved almost all my bio media to them. This allowed me to put a protein skimmer in one of the second chambers and an addition filter floss chamber for 100 micron floss.

Wow, that is an excellent DIY build. I love the look of stands that have space around them and that look like a furniture piece. What is the stand stop made out of?

Pine board that was sanded, stained, polyurethane. I probably had about 5-6 sandings and coats of polyurethane. A smooth sanding at the end to give it an antique but super smooth finish.

I will look tonight, but I imagine it is around 60% or 70%. Its definitely not turned all the way up. I shoot for a 10-12% turnover rate.
