Hi! I'm back.
My reef is almost 1 year old and I'm learning a lot through this experience.
Updates:
- My Pocillopora is very beautiful and is growing a lot, SPS's really grew on me.
- Almost all zoas are alive and well, although not as big I expected. I've made a post about it HERE.
- Both My mushs divided once!
- An Aiptasia problem was getting out of hand but is now under control
Setbacks:
- When I went on a vacation my alien antivenom fell from its rock and got upside down, I lost a lot of polyps, same thing happened to my Bloodsucker a few months after
- The yellow watchman goby jumped
- I was negligent for a few weeks and the trumpet and plate didn't like the lack of feeding and water changes. They're alive, but not very happy.
- My cats dropped my lights onto my Pocillopora, it lost some branches but I was able to make frags of them!
Lessons learned:
- Don't be negligent, reefs are not as forgiving as freshwater tanks.
- For a fish, get a lid.
- Some corals move and unexpected things happen! My clove polyps migrated from one rock to another and are growing on top of other corals.
Now, some pictures:
My "Little Tree" before my cats tore it apart.
The aftermath:
At least now I have frags...
This guy now lives in my tank because my husband's tank had problems:
These guys divided!
Love these guys but my cloves are starting to bother them
Asterina up-close
New guys, mixed frag from a friend's tank
