NANO AQUARIUM SET UP !!! TIPS ???

Hello guys ! Been a while since i last logged on ( work sucks ! ) lol .. but anyway, im coming back on here with a very exciting NANO AQUARIUM !!!! Im starting off my build from scratch. Im still deciding some factors, as some of you know i do have a running 60 gallon reef too

.. this will be a 12 gallon low iron ultra clear mr aqua tank ! Lefs discuss !!!

I'm no expert but here is my advice. Stock lightly, in a 12 gallon I say you can get away with some of the smaller basslets, gobys, a possum wrasse or a clown, although I am sure there are others. You'll want a healthy clean up crew for that size to help keep everything stable and if you can do weekly WCs a 3 gallon water change every week in a tank that size is perfect. Do you know if you want it be to an SPS tank, LPS and softies or mixed? That will also help decide as far as equipment goes

Im planning on stocking maybe two fish and a nice clean up crew !!! I'll keep you posted ! And thanks ALOT for the info .. helps a ton !! .. i want a mixed reef ! I know its a challenge for a nano, but i will be using water from my mixed reef 60 gallon ! I will also do clean water changes once a week & dose bacteria to keep the system colonized

any other tips ? I plan on using a 7 gallon refugium & i already have a 30 gal reef ocotupus skimmer

Consider live rock, dry rock can be such a struggle on small tanks. If going the live rock route, deal with pests first before adding anything. You'll appreciate the tank more in the long run also without having to remove things or breaking coral.
