This is suposedly a rare specimen and I've seen it plus I will be taking them home later this afternoon...(its on Hold for moi!!..:p )

pseudochromis of some kind, never seen one-it may not have a point of sale. ID yet...How much?

like i said it probobly does not have a name yet, there are a lot of pseudochromis that are not scientifically named yet

Yea it's gone now.....I think it was like $100 or so.....They even stated that it was rare in the hobby.....they called it a red&white soapfish i think....

I know the guy that bought the fish... I hope it does well for him... I'll enjoy watching it in his tank... :D

Yup... I haven't seen it yet... But he said he bought it... Showed a pic a week or so ago...

The first pic Azurel posted makes it look like a salamander...lol. I thought it was photoshopped. Be sure to take pics when you get it this afternoon, that's one cool specimen!

As ct vol pointed out, I purchased the fish last week after seeing them on Japanese websites and wanting one for some time. It is a bit darker red than the pic posted, almost maroon, but a full-grown adult (about 3"). Can't say how well it is eating, although it still has a fat belly. These fish are notoriously shy and reclusive, and so far he just pokes his head out once in awhile. It "perches" on the bottom and "grabs" the rocks with it's fins, and I hear their eating habits are rather bizarre.

Very nice fish... Probably deep water since it is almost all red, rare in the hobby, and it's behaivor seems so reclusive.
