Nothing to be concerned. My 20 gallon IM has been at 82 degrees the last two weeks. It’s hot here in the Bay Area. All my fish and corals are happy. It goes down to 79 but for most part it’s at 82

yea it took me till 4 in the morning to cool it down but it hasn't risen up so that’s goodIt takes longer to cool water, then to heat it
If it’s just a screen than it shouldn’t matter just make sure the fan is blowing across the waterok i’ll try to prop up the lid of the tank thanks for the help
Instead of blowing across the entire tank. If you can, try to point the airflow directly on the water surface. It may cool your water quicker but you will get more water evaporation so watch out for that.it’s blowing across the entire tank
i don’t really have that problem right now and i ordered a fan for my tank next summer and i dont have a uv i don’t have the room for itInstead of blowing across the entire tank. If you can, try to point the airflow directly on the water surface. It may cool your water quicker but you will get more water evaporation so watch out for that.
Also, if you have UV sterilizer. The bulb will heat the water some also.
ok thanks for the tip i’ll keep that in mind next summerYou could also keep a pitcher of RODI water in the fridge (or make ice cubes with it) and use that to top off the tank as water evaporates.
Your positive the thermometer is accurate?ok thanks for the tip i’ll keep that in mind next summer
