Hii Reef2Reef guys!!
This is my first time participating in a forum! I'm glad you people are awesome! So i would like to share my ideas and my tank progress with you guys! Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions, i will try to read and reply all of you guys!!

My tank project is a pretty much a simple, nothing special, easy to care... I'm going for a BTA-only tank with a single wild Tomato Clownfish and a Sand-Cleaner Star to keep my sand clean! About the BTAs i do have 3 Rose ones right now, two of them my LFS basically gave me them and i'm doing my best so they can recover and get happy! The biggest one is recovering from the rough time my tank had.. but now its getting happier hosted by my Tomato!

So about my tank, its size is a 40 cm cube with a 15 cm sump with pretty simple equipment;

  1. Flow -> low and gentle, 1.200 litre/hour
  2. Temperature -> A simple 100w heater and a simple thermometer, it keeps the temperature arround 26.2 without significant variantions since i keep my room with similiar temperature.
  3. Lighting -> Artika (its from a Brasilian brand).

About products and suff: i do a 10 liter water change one time per month, i test salinity levels every wek and KH/PO4/NO3 (colombo kit) every 15 days. I use is DI water and my salt is Reeflowers Caledonea sea salt
My parameters now:
  • Salinity: 1.024
  • KH: 9
  • PO4: <0.25
  • NO3: 16 (aiming for <10, it drops arround 5 every water change)
About food, i use Tropical Clownfish only (willing to buy vitalis anemone pellets later), right know the small ones are eating twice per week and the big one eats almost every day. I have 2 pepermit shirmp, few hermits and a sea serpent star aside the clown and the nems.

Thanks for you guys time!! Make sure to leave your thoughts, i would love to know!!!!

Looks great.

Why just one clown though? Two would look great.

I would maybe consider reducing the nem feeding as they will grow fast and big.

Thanks!! Aiming to get it even beter!!

Sometimes i think about adding a second clown, but i kinda just want to keep a single.. also there a second problem, its pretty hard to get different clowns on Brazil, aside ocellaris. Here captive breeding clowns are only ocellaris, percula and maroon, but only ocellaris are produced at a large scale.. so even if i really wanted a second one, theres like 2 or 3 import firms at the entire country and different clowns are very rare to get.. took me 4 years to get this one

Now about my nem feeding!! Your hint is a very good one!! Its just like you said, they are growing fast and big, a day after every meal i can clearly see the difference from before!! But yes the catch here is since my tank is a nano theres not alot space for lots of them so yes after they are fully recovered, i will reduce even more the feeding quantity and routine!! Oh and i'm just going to add two more nems (Rainbow and Green ones), and after that i will just let them reproduce!!
AAAND as they start to reproduce and so my tank, especially the rocks, have no more room for them, i can sell divided ones for credits on my LFS or other hobbists from my region!! Also my entire state has only two saltwater stores....

But yeah thanks man!! Really appreciate hints and tips!!

It's looking great so far! I love anemones. A few months ago, I got my first Colorado Sunburst BTA. I'm following along. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Update 1

My largest BTA is showing off more vibrant colors and getting bigger and bigger, so for now on i'm going to change a little on its feeding routine by giving less food and also less times per week.
My 2 lethargic ones (the ones my LFS gave me) started to show improvement signs by opening a little more when lights are on!!
