Do it. That part of the world is awesome and you’ll be 2hr drive from the best non-commercial ski hill in the country. Mt Baker is awesome and if you want to you could go skiing in the morning then go water skiing in the afternoon. Bellingham is a fast growing city with many young cool people. Defn awesome part of the world.
Great mountain biking, white water rafting, awesome places to go for weekend trips & camping - could get into sea kayaking and explore the gulf islands backpacking along the way.

Nothing specific about the hospital but I know the area. It is beautiful and lots of outdoor activities close by. Great snow skiing and snow boarding. Mountain biking, close to Vancouver, BC, close to the Puget Sound and great fishing, ect. I could reach out to some people in the medical field for more info. Housing is going to be expensive like every where these days. 1 1/2 hour drive to Seattle and all that has to offer. Great boating area!

It could be good to find out. Wife has friends there and they didn't have much to say either. I'm a little surprised they have no Joint Commission accreditation. I know it's optional, but I've never encountered a hospital that exercises that option in that way.

It'll take a 50% bump in pay to keep me in the same standard of living as here. most of that is renting with a large dog and fish tanks there vs. owning here.

Very active saltwater aquarium scene in Seattle. Plus Bellingham used to have a decent saltwater store in the past. Not sure it still does. Vancouver has an active aquarium scene as well.

That'd be cool. maybe I'd have to change the name of my build thread to "semiproficient reef" from "medeocreef". or come up with a similarly punny name.

But I just admitted I answer the phone, texts, and emails after-hours without requiring compensation...

Yeah, the outdoor living beats Balt. hands down. except for the whole 6 months of rain thing... could have my folks meet me on the drive with my skis. but holy buckets, lift tickets are a lot!


3 hours from the kid's grandparents is a nice prospect too.

Laundry, dishes, bleach and rinsing these 3 30g brutes that have been in the middle of my living room for about 9 months; getting tools and fish tank stuff off dining table and where they go. Need to change sediment filter in rodi unit, would you guys change all 3? Been in there about 5 months, but look at this sediment filter..

At that ,6mo ,i'd change em' all...assuming you made a few hundred gallons.

It's 347!! That's a little better.. probably about about 6 or 7 hundred gallons made. Dual canister d.i changed 3 or 4 times. On the bright side, I've sent off my rodi water with exhausted d.i, 120 tds, for icp. Nothing but silicate..

What!? Baltimore has so many redeeming qualities. For instance, you regularly get new car windows in Baltimore, so you're never driving around with old worn out glass. Never played "guess what that is floating in the harbor"? Endless entertainment and it's completely free!
