Good morning. Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend!
I'm retired, so all of my weekends technically run from Sunday through Saturday. I did thoroughly enjoy this one, though; so, thank you!

It is a good morning!

Excited Schitts Creek GIF by CBC

Ok, so I need to wait until the bank opens to cash a check because MOAR MONEYS. Ya never know what you might need to add on to that tank...

Should be leaving in about an hour. 5hrs one way, couple hours for pit stops and loading the tank, 5hrs home. With 4 kids. Fun.

Wish me luck y'all!

Also hope everyone knows this is their fault for enabling me and letting me think I can actually plumb a tank. What were you thinking?! :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

At the doctor's office right now. Doctor said there are three parts of your ankle you can break. My wife broke 3 of those 3.
Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that. Praying for her speedy recovery

Ouch get her a bell and every time she rings it you go running to assist her

I put a bed in the living room for her and I've been sleeping on the couch next to her. Her doctor said he knows a good spine doctor for me after she's recovered. My son tried giving her a bell but she didn't want it

oh crud. triumbrial... I did that in 2016. 1 year of recovery after a plate and 10 screws. 4 years and I don't even remember it. Can still tell when a big weather change will roll through. Thanks to the miracle of modern orthopedic surgery I can still run.
She will get better; just takes a long time. Maybe get her a knee cart and a knee crutch for mobility. I'm so sorry; you definitely didn't win that contest.

They're saying 9-12 weeks for recovery. Hopefully.

Hey everyone! It's been 3 long miserable years without a reef tank but I'm finally setting up a 25 gallon Waterbox right now! I think I have about 1000 pages in this thread to catch up on lol. I'm so excited to get back to it though and to be a part of this community and thread again

Didn't buy the tank. It was awful. Not at all as described. Words he used were "immaculate kept condition" and " perfect silicone". Nope. Tank was trashed, silicone was so dry you could hear the tapping from my fingernails. Huge chips of silicone missing from aggressive scraping or fish nibbles. Stand looked savable from the outside but so much water damage on the inside it was shocking. The sump was a standard 55g and also trashed, broken baffles, some compartments still full of black goo from who knows how long that it had been taken down so definitely should have been delt with.

Had several to look at, 3 were in the same silicone NOPE condition, 2 were NOPE redseas, and 1 was really nice and outside my budget, and he called the guy who consigned it and got it to my offer price, but with the dishonesty of the tank I originally came for I just couldn't do it. How could I trust anything he said about the tank?

Disappointed. But not scammed so there's that
