That was pretty quick on the transmission.., not your 1st rodeo huh
My father-in-law has been a GM transmission mechanic for almost 40 years.

For some reason I read:

“Transmission in butt battery is dead” and thought you were doing some weird metaphor for either a hip injury or laziness
No, but my wife broke her leg yesterday... Right above the ankle. We'll talk to the orthopedic on Tuesday hopefully.

Ohh no... how did that happen?
She said she either missed the bottom stair or hit it wrong and rolled her ankle and fell. We had a game night at church last night and she was helping put away the microphones and was coming down the stairs. We were hoping it was sprained but the x-rays showed differently.

I have found the higher the turnover rate you have, the less detritus you will have. You can have all the internal pump blowing everything around, but unless you have good flow into your overflow, thats all it will do.
I run both the Reef Octopus varios and the Ecotech lines and after a couple years both seem equal. The Varios has a auto shut off level control which is nice. Sicce may be a nice option but I have heard some find them loud. And of course there is Jeboa in which I have heard great things about.
So in summary to your ? Which was not about brands is...
Buy the biggest most reliable DC pump you can afford.. You can always turn it down. Or you may need to run a manifold off of it.
