Not a bad deal for everything. The catch is with that one is it's skinny and tall. Like a longer 55g. Preference would be as deep as it is tall. So 24x24 not 19x30. Easier to set up a nice scape when they are deeper front to back. Just a personal opinion.
And that's why we discuss in the cafe folks. I didn't catch that. I'll definitely keep front to back dimensions in mind.

Yeah so with it being a tall tank on a tall stand it's looking like I'd be soaked after diving in from a ladder, lol
As would the floor when it topples over from you diving in from a ladder...

not much bigger than your 75 ? 72l x 24 x24 ? 180 gal ... ;) :)
180 is the bomb. But 120 is also nice. You could split the difference and go 150 60x24x24. But for the cost of gear and light for coverage on a 150 just go 180.

Still thinking about that dang deep 150. So my arms length from armpit to fingertips is 24". So I'm definitely not easily reaching the bottom.

BUT. My biggest gripe with the current tank(s) is viewing. Overall I spend very little time maintaining and loads of time viewing. So in my mind, I would want my tank to be at a better viewing height. If I need a ladder and tools for maintenance I'm still doing those things less often than just looking at the tank.

For an example. My truck is huge. Every truck we buy gets a lift and big az tires. No way can I even check the oil without a ladder. I'm used to that. When at a gas station I have to open the door and stand on the floor with the door open to clean the windows. I've been doing that for 10 years now. I'm used to it. Would a tall tank needing a ladder be any different to my simple mind?

Most maintenance will be from the sump, which will be easily accessed of course. Just set up, and frag placement, maybe the occasional tweaking. But really I'm not going arms in on my 75 very often either. It's the same front to back dimensions of the tank I already have, so aquascpaing shouldn't be impossible....

It's definitely still on the table.

I love the 24x24xwhatever dimensions personally. Yeah I'm short, yeah I have short arms - but you gain so much dimension in the tank with that back to front depth. I don't think I could even think about anything taller though.

Keep in mind, unless you go bare bottom, you'll have some sand to buffer that as well.

19 vs 24 that extra 5 inches may not seem like alot but it's just enough to really make a difference. :smiling-face-with-halo: . The extra 2.5 in front and in back is the room you would need to get the glass cleaner to clear the rock.
