Yooo, my doser went crazy and dumped almost all my alk in. Tested (Hannah) and it was blinking 300ppm (16+dkh) yesterday's test was 166ppm or 9dkh.

Did a 20% water change but what I had prepared was coral pro. Making more water for another 20% and headed to the store for something low alk, but what else should I do?

I think you have done about as much as you can. Exactly what I would do. I honestly might even leave it at 9 and let it come down through attrition rather than continue to change it.

I'd be good with 9. Right now probably sitting 14 to 15, up from 9. Let it ride now? I'm worried cuz it was a 7 point jump in 10 minutes. Dropping it that fast would hurt too?

We didn't trick or treat with the kids this year, my youngest, 4, is very afraid of almost all Halloween decorations and costumes. To the point of misery for everyone else. On top of that, we got a new neighbor, she's older and by herself (Grandma age but no grandkids) and I just saw she has her decorations up, light on, door open waiting for kids, and we're in a group of just 3 houses in a commercial section so we're the only house with kids. No one's coming. Now I feel so bad. I should have had the kids go over, she's probably disappointed. We've never really met, my husband has talked to her a few times. But what a horrible neighbor, I should have gone over there today and asked if she wanted us to stop by. I just got so busy and time got away from me, and then dinner. And now sad realization.
